What are Trophy Vaults?

Trophy Vaults are are special rooms in the Imperial City which will give you access to a treasure chest. In these chests you can find selected armor sets, jewelry, Tel Var Stones, Xivkyn Style pages and Nibenese Court Wizard Armor style pages . Depending on the type of vault you need 150 or 60 key fragments to open these vaults. Once you opened the chest you need another key fragments to open the chest again.

How can you earn key fragments?

Key fragments have a chance to drop from all enemies within the Imperial City Districts and Imperial City Sewers. Patrolling Horrors are Bosses which you can find in the Imperial City Districts. They are guaranteed to drop key fragments.
You can buy or sell key fragments via the guild traders too.

Where can you find Trophy Vaults?

You can find Trophy Vaults in two dungeons in the Imperial City DLC:
  • Imperial City Prison Dungeon Daedric Shackle Trophy Vault 150 key fragments
  • White Gold Tower Dungeon Daedric Embers Trophy Vault 150 key fragments


Additionally there are seven Trophy Vaults in the Imperial City Districts:

Is it part of the ESO Base game or do I need a DLC or ESO plus subscription?

To be able to enter the Imperial City you need to own the Imperial City DLC, which you can claim for free via the Crown Store.
The Imperial City is a PVP Area and you have to be at least level 10 to be able to enter the Imperial City.
