What is the Scribing Altar?
The Scribing Altar is a unique furnishing for the Elder Scrolls Online which allows you to use the scribing skill in your house. Which means you don't have to travel anymore to the Scholarium to scribe a skill.
Can everyone obtain and use a Scribing Altar?
You need to own the Gold Road chapter and have unlocked the Inheritor of the Scholarium achievement. This achievement is not necessary if you purchase the Scribing Altar with crowns. But I would not recommend to purchase the Altar with Crowns, since it is quite expensive and there are various other in-game options available.
Where can I get the Scribing Altar Furnishing?
  • One option is to visit the Imperial mastercraft mediator Faustina Curio . Faustina Curio is a Achievement Mediator who you can find in Deshaan, Grahtwood and Stormhaven. She offers the Scribing altar for 800 Writ Vouchers.
  • Another way is to visit the War Researcher in Cyrodiil. You can find the war research at each Border Keep of each Alliance. They offer the Scribing Altar for 1 Million Alliance Points.
  • Additionally you may visit the Infinite Archive vendor, Filer Tezurs, inside the Infinite Archive. They offer the Scribing Altar for 30 000 archival fortunes.
  • Furthermore you can also purchase the Scribing Altar via the Furnishing Crown Store. The Scribing Altar is at the moment available for 2500 Crowns.
  • Another way is to visit any guild trader of your choice and purchase a Scribing Altar with Gold. The gold price may vary a lot. Depending how many items are available and on which platform and server you are playing.
